Manchester United team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Nottingham Forest

Manchester United will be bidding to make it successive wins in the Premier League when they head to Nottingham Forest on Saturday evening.

The Red Devils came from two goals behind to beat Aston Villa 3-2 on Boxing Day, with the result leaving them in sixth position in the table on 31 points from 19 matches.

Erik ten Hag's side will now be aiming to make it 11 league wins for the campaign when they finish their 2023 with a trip to Forest.

Casemiro

Casemiro picked up a hamstring injury during the EFL Cup defeat to Newcastle United in November, but the experienced midfielder is back in training and on course to return in the middle of January.

Tyrell Malacia

Malacia is also still on the sidelines due to a knee injury which has required two separate operations, but he is due to return to action by the end of January.

Lisandro Martinez

Status: Out Type of injury: Foot Possible return date: January 14 (vs. Tottenham Hotspur)

Martinez is recovering from a second operation on a foot injury which he initially suffered in April, and he is also set to return early next year, with a spot in the Tottenham Hotspur clash on January 14 a possibility.

Amad Diallo

Status: Minor doubt Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: December 30 (vs. Forest)

Amad has been unavailable for selection due to a knee injury that he picked up during pre-season, but he has been back in training for two weeks and has a chance of being in the squad here.

Harry Maguire

Status: Out Type of injury: Groin Possible return date: January 8 (vs. Wigan Athletic)

Maguire had to be replaced in the first half of the clash with Bayern Munich on December 12 due to a groin problem, and he will again miss out here, but the defender should be back in early January.

Sofyan Amrabat
