Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney is reportedly expected to make his return from a knee injury against West Ham United in the FA Cup next week.

Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney is reportedly poised to return from injury in next week's FA Cup third-round replay against West Ham United.

The England international has been sidelined since Christmas Day after picking up a knee injury during a training session for the Red Devils.

While manager Sir Alex Ferguson recently revealed that the 27-year-old's absence was due to be extended by two weeks, meaning that the frontman will be unavailable for their Liverpool clash on Sunday, it is believed that Rooney will return against West Ham, according to The Express.

Reports have claimed that Nani will also return to fitness in time for the FA Cup fixture.
