Danny Welbeck faces Euro 2012 fear

Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck sparked an injury worry ahead of Euro 2012 after leaving the Etihad Stadium wearing a protective boot following United's 1-0 loss to Manchester City on Monday.

The 21-year-old was involved in an ugly challenge with City midfielder Nigel De Jong in the second period, where it is understood that the England striker suffered the injury.

Welbeck was expected to travel with England for the European Championships this summer, but his involvement could now be in doubt, according to the Daily Mail.

Welbeck has four international caps to his name.
