David Moyes eager for Manchester United to go unbeaten

David Moyes wants Manchester United to go the entire group stage of the Champions League without losing a match.

David Moyes has urged his Manchester United players to avoid defeat in the Champions League tonight to complete an unbeaten showing in the group stage.

The Premier League champions host Shakhtar Donetsk at Old Trafford in their final match of Group A, with their spot in the knockout phase of the competition already secured.

"It's important to give ourselves the best possible chance in the next round but the big job was to make sure that we qualify from the group," Moyes told reporters.

"That part is done and hopefully we can finish off the group unbeaten. And if we do that then that will see us through.

"We've been inconsistent at times. We've played very well in some of the games in the Champions League, not so well in the Premier League games – albeit we've lacked a little bit of the good fortune in one or two of the games which might have made the difference."

You can enjoy live coverage of Manchester United against Shakhtar Donetsk on Sports Mole tonight from 6.45pm.
