Tom Cleverley impressed by Phil Jones

Tom Cleverley has praised Manchester United teammate Phil Jones for his goal in Tuesday's Champions League win against Shakhtar Donetsk.

Jones, who has played in both defence and midfield for United this season, scored the only goal of the game at Old Trafford as the hosts earned a 1-0 victory to finish top of Group A.

"He took it like a striker," Cleverley told MUTV. "I think he scored a similar one a few weeks ago. He's a bit of a fox in the box from corners and he did well for us both defensively and in midfield."

United return to Premier League action on Sunday when they make the trip to Aston Villa.
