Atletico Madrid are set to be without the services of eight first-team players for Tuesday's Champions League clash with Manchester United.

Atletico Madrid are expected to be without the services of eight first-team players for Tuesday's Champions League last-16 second leg with Manchester United.

Yannick Carrasco will again be unavailable for selection due to a European suspension, while seven other players have injury problems ahead of the contest at Old Trafford.

Thomas Lemar, Sime Vrsaljko, Mario Hermoso, Geoffrey Kondogbia, Matheus Cunha and Daniel Wass are all set to miss the match in Manchester through injury.

Meanwhile, central defender Jose Gimenez picked up a calf problem during Atletico's 2-1 win over Cadiz in La Liga on Friday, which is expected to keep him out for the next three weeks.

Atletico have been boosted by the return of Koke from injury, though, and Angel Correa has also recovered from a fitness issue ahead of the second leg.

The last-16 tie is delicately poised following a 1-1 draw in the first leg at Wanda Metropolitano, with Anthony Elanga coming off the bench to level for Man United after Joao Felix had made the breakthrough.

Antoine Griezmann and Luis Suarez are also both available for Atletico on Tuesday night.
