Just a few minutes after he had seemingly ended speculation about his future, Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure has posted two cryptic messages on Twitter.
The 31-year-old's agent had claimed that his client felt unappreciated at the Etihad Stadium, although Toure himself took to the social networking site this afternoon to insist that his commitment to the club should be judged by his performances on the pitch.
However, since then, the Ivorian has revealed that his agent's quotes were "true" and that he would provide a full explanation after the World Cup.
My agent was trying to make a point here on my behalf, joke aside. It seems important for me to make a statement..i am going to do so.
