Manchester City's Manuel Pellegrini: Signings expected in a "few days"

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini reveals that new signings are expected at the club in the next "few days".

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has said that the club could have news about potential transfer targets over the next "few days".

City have been linked with a host of players this summer and the Chilean admitted in his first press conference that he is looking to add a striker to his squad.

"Maybe in the next few days we can have fresh news but at the moment I cannot tell you what you ask," Pellegrini told reporters.

"I don't know if, before we finish here in South Africa, other names will arrive to our squad. We will try to have a very good squad this year so, as you say, we are in the market.

"We don't know at this moment who is going to come here but we are trying to get the best players for us to add to our squad."

City have already signed Jesus Navas and Fernandinho this summer from Sevilla and Shakhtar Donetsk respectively.
