Manchester City prepare to battle Real Madrid for the signature of Ajax midfielder Ryan Gravenberch, according to a report.

Manchester City are reportedly preparing to battle Real Madrid for the signature of Ajax midfielder Ryan Gravenberch during this summer's transfer window.

The 19-year-old has been in impressive form for his Dutch club during the 2021-22 campaign, scoring once and providing four assists in 28 appearances in all competitions.

The Netherlands international has entered the final 18 months of his contract in Amsterdam, though, and there has been widespread speculation surrounding his future in recent months.

Real Madrid are said to view the Dutchman as a priority target ahead of the 2022-23 campaign.

However, according to Mundo Deportivo, there is also serious interest from Man City, with the Premier League champions firmly in the hunt for his signature this summer.

Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund also allegedly want to hold talks with the teenager, with Ajax expecting to lose his services during the summer transfer market.

Gravenberch has scored 10 goals and provided 11 assists in 89 appearances for his Dutch club, while he has been capped on 10 occasions by his national side.
