Manchester City midfielder Jack Grealish reveals that he is keen to return to Aston Villa before the end of his career.

Manchester City midfielder Jack Grealish has acknowledged that he wants to return to Aston Villa before the end of his career.

During the summer transfer window, the England international opted to depart his boyhood club to sign for the Premier League champions in a £100m deal.

Grealish is currently preparing to return to the West Midlands outfit for the first time with City facing his former club at Villa Park on Wednesday evening.

Speaking to The Telegraph ahead of the game, the 26-year-old has revealed that he intends to re-join Villa at some point in the future.

Grealish said: "It's a club that is so close to my heart and I definitely hope to go back there. That's always been in my mind. Ashley Young has done it and I want to do the same, 100%."

The playmaker has endured a mixed start to life at the Etihad Stadium, contributing just two goals and three assists during his 13 starts in the Premier League and Champions League.
