Everton are reportedly contemplating whether to make a bid for Manchester City goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu during the summer transfer window.

Everton have reportedly identified Manchester City goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu as a potential summer transfer target.

Despite having established himself as first choice for Republic of Ireland, Bazunu is yet to make his senior debut for City, instead spending having spells on loan in the EFL.

The 20-year-old has spent the last two seasons in League One, making a total of 73 appearances for Rochdale and Portsmouth respectively, but the plan is for him to move higher up the pyramid in 2022-23.

While a loan to a Championship club is probably the most likely scenario, Independent.ie says that Everton are keeping a watchful eye on the situation.

The report suggests that the Toffees may be prepared to launch a permanent bid for Bazunu if they opt to cash in on Jordan Pickford, who has two years remaining on his contract.

Should City give the green light to a sale to the Toffees or any other club, it is claimed that they will look to include a buy-back clause in any proposal.
