Manchester City keen on Raul Albiol?

Manchester City will attempt to sign Real Madrid defender Raul Albiol in the summer, according to The Sun.

Albiol, 25, has failed to hold down a first-team spot at Madrid this season, leading to suggestions that he could quit Spain at the end of the current campaign.

City boss Roberto Mancini is understood to be keen on adding competition to his defence, which has been stretched at times this season, and reportedly sees Albiol as a viable option.

Albiol joined Madrid from Valencia in 2009.
