Manchester City reportedly deny claims that John Stones will be sold this summer.

Manchester City have reportedly denied claims that John Stones could be sold this summer.

Recent tabloid speculation suggested that the England defender is no longer part of manager Pep Guardiola's plans but, according to Sky Sports News, this is not the case.

The broadcaster claims to have heard from a City source that Stones will not be sold when the transfer window reopens, and will be part of the Sky Blues squad next season.

Stones has not played for the Premier League champions since bowing out of international duty because of an abductor injury.

Liverpool and Arsenal are rumoured to have monitored the situation when reports of Stones's potential City exit emerged.
