Manchester City's Sergio Aguero 'never interested in joining Real Madrid'

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has rejected suggestions that he was close to signing for Real Madrid.

The Argentina international has insisted that he is committed to the North-West outfit, despite reports of a possible switch to his former club Atletico Madrid's arch rivals.

"No, those were just rumours," Aguero told Goal.com. "I'm committed to Manchester City, it's a great club."

The 24-year-old, who dramatically clinched the Premier League title for City last season, moved to the Etihad Stadium in 2011.
