Manchester City cruise past Swansea City

Two goals from Samir Nasri and an opening strike from Alvaro Negredo give Manchester City a 3-0 win against Swansea City.

Manchester City have beaten Swansea City 3-0 in the Premier League at the Etihad Stadium.

Samir Nasri scored a brace to add to Alvaro Negredo's opening goal to give City a comfortable win over the Welsh side.

Negredo continued his goalscoring form when he netted after just eight minutes with a 25-yard free kick.

Martin Demichelis nearly doubled the lead as the game approached the half-hour mark but his header crashed against the crossbar.

Jonathan De Guzman spurned a glorious chance to net an equaliser on the stroke of half time when he fired over from close range after escaping Demichelis with a nutmeg.

Following the restart, Nasri scored his first of the afternoon on 58 minutes when he curled an effort beyond Gerhard Tremmel in the Swansea goal after receiving a good pass from Yaya Toure.

The France international added his second and City's third when Pablo Zabaleta picked him out and he fired past Tremmel with his left foot.
