Carlos Tevez wants Manchester City stay

Carlos Tevez has said that he wants to stay at Manchester City.

Carlos Tevez is adamant that he has no problems with Roberto Mancini and wants to stay at Manchester City.

The Argentine's future at the Etihad Stadium looked in real doubt after he refused to come off the bench during a Champions League match against Bayern Munich in September, resulting in the forward abandoning the club until March.

Since returning to action, Tevez has been in a good run of form and wants to help repay the club's faith in him by landing City the title, according to the Manchester Evening News.

"I've felt great since I came back in February, very relaxed and content and just pleased to be back playing football for Manchester City again," Tevez said.

"My relationship with the manager is totally fine, he's been as good as gold with me and there have been absolutely no problems. He wants to win games and be successful and if I can play a part in helping to do that, then that's what I will work hard to do.

"This club has been building something special for the past few years. It was the project and the dream that made me come to City in the first place. I've been here since the start of that project and I share the same vision as Sheikh Mansour. I want to repay his faith and stay here as long as it takes to make the project a success."

Tevez looks set to start for City in their massive top of the table clash with Manchester United on Monday.
