Carlos Tevez appeals to Premier League over Manchester City fine

Tevez appeals to PL over City fine

Carlos Tevez has launched an appeal to the Premier League over a six-week fine imposed by Manchester City.

The fine in question relates to the punishment enforced by the Premier League leaders for the striker's ongoing absence when he jetted off to South America without the club's permission in November.

The Argentina international was also fined after being found guilty of gross misconduct during Man City's Champions League defeat to Bayern Munich, where he refused to warm up for the North West club.

The 27-year-old appealed that ruling and managed to reduce a six-week fine down to a two-week suspension in wages.

The Premier League will be forced to conduct a hearing, which could be set for the end of next month.
