David Silva demands that Manchester City push to the limit in the race for the title.

David Silva has demanded that Manchester City stay focused and keep pushing as they look to claim their first Premier League title.

The Spanish international scored the only goal as City beat Arsenal 1-0 to get back on track after their defeat to Chelsea.

Silva - arguably the Citizens' most outstanding performer this season – has issued a warning to his teammates claiming that they need to push themselves to the limit if they are to stay above Manchester United.

"You have to be demanding, and demand the best when you have a squad of top players like this and push them to the limit - demand as much as you can," said the playmaker.

"You might say United have been disappointing but they are right there on our heels and you can't knock that. We know they are going to be right behind us so we have to make sure there are no slip-ups and try and win every game.

"Let's hope that this demanding style pays off and we can go on and win the title."

City face Stoke City on Wednesday night.
