Manuel Pellegrini: 'Manchester City enjoying title pressure'

Manuel Pellegrini insists that his players are enjoying the pressure of being favourites for the Premier League title with three games left to play.

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has insisted that his players are not crumbling under the pressure of the Premier League title race.

The North-West outfit are favourites to secure their second league trophy in three years following Liverpool's 2-0 defeat to Chelsea on Sunday.

Should they grab maximum points from their three remaining games, the first of which is against Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday, City are expected to beat the Reds and Chelsea to title glory.

Despite all the pressure being mounted on City's shoulders, Pellegrini has insisted that his players are enjoying their position.

"When you just depend on what you do, it's better for the players," Pellegrini told reporters. "We like to have the pressure to be one of the teams who can win the title.

"At the moment the motivation is very high, now it is important that the performance also must be high."

After facing Everton, City have home fixtures against Aston Villa and West Ham United before the season ends on May 11.
