Manchester City striker Alvaro Negredo believes that he is best suited to the style of football in the Premier League.

Manchester City striker Alvaro Negredo has claimed that he is best suited to the style of football in the Premier League following his move from Sevilla.

The 27-year-old recently signed a four-year deal at the Etihad Stadium for a reported fee of £20m.

"I think I have some qualities that will suit the Premier League," Sky Sports News quotes Negredo as saying.

"I think my style suits the game in England, but I also like to believe that I have good technical ability as well.

"I think I can be both the physical and technical. There are some matches where the physical approach is important and other games where you can show off your skill."

City will get their Premier League campaign underway at home to Newcastle United on August 19.
