Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini promises that his side will win more silverware this season.

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has promised that his side will win more silverware this season.

The Citizens, who lifted the Community Shield in August, have been eliminated from Europe and fallen six points behind Manchester United in the Premier League table.

However, Mancini remains confident of retaining his side's national crown, as well as challenging for further glory in the FA Cup.

"I think we will win," said the 48-year-old Italian.

"We have two targets and I think if we work better than the first six months and we forget what we did last year we have more chance to win the league. I always win."

City can close the gap on United to three points with a win at home to Reading later today.
