Vincent Kompany not concerned about title rivals

Manchester City skipper Vincent Kompany says that he is not concerned about the start that the club's title rivals have made this season.

Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany has stated that he is not worried about the start that the club's title rivals have made to the new season.

City hold a three-point lead at the top of the Premier League table after four games and are eight points clear of reigning champions Chelsea.

Kompany has said that he is expecting the title favourites to show their best form as the season progresses.

"I'm trying generally not to care [about Chelsea's start]. I'm focused on ourselves," the Belgian told Sky Sports News.

"Teams like Chelsea, Arsenal, the big teams will always come back so it's a matter of time."

City resume their season away at Crystal Palace on September 12.
