Stevan Jovetic feeling confident ahead of Manchester derby

Stevan Jovetic insists that Manchester City's players will head into Sunday's Manchester derby '100% motivated' as they look to return to winning ways.

Manchester City striker Stefan Jovetic has acknowledged that his side must return to winning ways against Manchester United this coming weekend.

The Premier League champions head into the local derby on the back of three poor results, which culminated in the club's exit from the League Cup with a 2-0 home defeat against Newcastle United earlier this week.

Despite the recent wobble in form, Jovetic remains confident that City can pick up all three points in the Etihad showdown.

"I think it is a good game because always when you play a derby your motivation is 100%," BT Sport quotes the 24-year-old as saying.

"It is going to be difficult because they are a very good team. They have new players, good players, but we believe we can believe we can win and we need to show that."

City go into Sunday's game in third place in the league table, trailing leaders Chelsea by six points.
