David Jones: 'Burnley are growing in belief'

David Jones believes that Burnley are still growing in confidence following the 2-2 draw with Manchester City.

David Jones has insisted that Burnley have the character to continue surprising teams in the Premier League following their 2-2 draw with Manchester City.

Burnley came from two goals behind to earn a valuable point at the home of the champions, and Jones believes that the performance was a result of their recent progress.

"At Burnley we are of strong stuff really and we're becoming more resilient in this league and are believing in ourselves and I think that showed in the second half with our performance," the midfielder told reporters.

"We've been growing in belief and today was evidence of that if we needed it that we can compete with anybody.

"It's one of the toughest places, if not the toughest place in the league to come, so great positives for us and we are really happy today."

Sean Dyche's side are 19th in the table, but the Clarets will have a chance to move out of the relegation zone when they meet Newcastle United on New Year's Day.
