Joe Hart eager to keep James Milner, Yaya Toure at Manchester City

Joe Hart admits that he is hoping Manchester City keep Yaya Toure and James Milner at the club this summer.

Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart has admitted that he wants both Yaya Toure and James Milner to stay at the club beyond the end of the season.

Toure is a target for Inter Milan ahead of the summer window, while Milner, whose current contract expires next month, is believed to be close to agreeing a deal with Liverpool.

Hart remains hopeful that he will continue to be teammates with two players he has won a pair of Premier League titles with at the Etihad Stadium as the club prepare for what could be a busy summer in the transfer market.

"Yaya has been fantastic for us and I think one of the big reasons why we have been so successful recently," the England international told the Daily Mail. "He is his own man. What he does this summer is out of my hands. If he wants to stay, we will be happy to keep him. A team with Yaya in it is a stronger team.

"Personally, I am very close to James. I love having him around — not even to mention that he is a fantastic footballer.

"He is super-talented and doesn't get the respect or credit he deserves. I love working with him and if that were to continue, I would be happy — but that is his business, that is his life."

City finish the season against Southampton on Sunday.
