Man City lineup vs. Man United: Predicted XI as Iliman Ndiaye returns, Nico O'Reilly snubbed

Ndiaye returns, Nico snubbed: Predicted Man City XI vs. Man United

Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca is expected to tinker with his XI for Sunday's Premier League derby against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

The Sky Blues registered their fourth victory in a row in Tuesday's 2-0 Champions League win over Porto, in which Erling Haaland netted his fourth and fifth goals of the season in all competitions.

The Scandinavian's spot up front is not up for debate, as he attempts to build on a standout record of eight goals from seven previous Premier League matches against Man City's bitter rivals.

However, Haaland's supporting cast could change slightly, as Iliman Ndiaye - dropped to the bench in midweek after cramping up against Coventry City - could demote Phil Foden back down to the dugout.

Ndiaye, Antoine Semenyo and Rayan Cherki can expect to operate in front of Enzo Fernandez and Elliot Anderson, the latter of whom has completed the most passes under high pressure in the Premier League with 122.

Nico O'Reilly has recovered from a back injury he sustained in the warm-up last weekend, but with Fernandez now settled in the side and Josko Gvardiol holding down the left-back spot, the Englishman could be snubbed.

Instead, Gvardiol, Ruben Dias, Marc Guehi and Matheus Nunes should take their places in an untouched defence, shielding undisputed number one Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Manchester City possible starting lineup:

Donnarumma; Nunes, Guehi, Dias, Gvardiol; Anderson, Fernandez; Semenyo, Cherki, Ndiaye; Haaland
