Man United lineup vs. Man City: Predicted XI as Benjamin Sesko, Matheus Cunha both start

Manchester United duo Benjamin Sesko and Matheus Cunha could both be in line for starting roles in Sunday's Premier League derby against Manchester City at Old Trafford.

Up until recently, Sesko vs. Cunha was seen as an either or situation, with Bryan Mbeumo, Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford expected to form the three-man supporting cast.

However, after Cunha and Sesko both found the net as starters in Thursday's 4-0 Champions League victory over Sabah, the pair have done all they can to retain their spots in the XI, at Rashford's expense.

Carrick's quandaries are not limited to the final third, as Andrey Santos remains in the midfield reckoning but should lose out to Youri Tielemans and Kobbie Mainoo once again.

Luke Shaw's availability for this derby is clouded in a bit of uncertainty, as the left-back missed the UCL thrashing of Sabah after suffering from cramp during last weekend's 2-2 Premier League draw with Everton.

Carrick issued a reassuring update on Thursday, though, so Shaw should be given the all-clear to join Diogo Dalot, Harry Maguire and Lisandro Martinez in front of Senne Lammens.

Carlos Baleba (ankle), Matthijs de Ligt (back), Manuel Ugarte (knee), Tom Heaton (hamstring) and Amad Diallo (ankle) are all on the treatment table for the home side.
