Team News: Owen Hargreaves starts for Manchester City

Owen Hargreaves will make his Manchester City debut this evening against Carling Cup holders Birmingham City.

Injury-plagued Owen Hargreaves will make his Manchester City debut during this evening's Carling Cup tie against holders Birmingham City.

The midfielder will be joined in the starting lineup by Kolo Toure following his return from a drugs ban and left-back Wayne Bridge, who makes his first appearance of the season.

Adam Rooney will play as a lone striker for visiting Birmingham, with Jean Beausejour and Chris Burke providing the support.
