Team News: Roberto Mancini makes eleven changes

Roberto Mancini has named a completely fresh lineup for Manchester City's Capital One Cup tie against Aston Villa this evening.

Carlos Tevez and Mario Balotelli form the hosts' strike pairing, while there is a senior debut for 18-year-old playmaker Denis Suarez.

Summer signing Jack Rodwell is handed a start in midfield alongside Gareth Barry, who makes his first domestic appearance of the season.

Meanwhile, Villa manager Paul Lambert has also made changes, naming an attacking side for the trip to the Etihad Stadium.

Shay Given is restored in goal after sitting out recent Premier League matches, while pacey duo Charles N'Zogbia and Gabby Agbonlahor are also recalled.
