Manchester City's Raheem Sterling 'out until May'

Raheem Sterling 'out until May'

Manchester City and England winger Raheem Sterling has reportedly been ruled out until at least May with a groin injury.

The 21-year-old was forced off with the injury in the first half of Sunday's derby defeat to Manchester United and initially ruled out for around three weeks by Citizens boss Manuel Pellegrini.

However, according to The Guardian, Sterling has been told that the injury will take around six weeks to fully heal, ruling him out until at least the final month of the season.

That will give the winger just a month to prove his fitness to England boss Roy Hodgson ahead of the Euro 2016 finals in France.
