Manchester City team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Crystal Palace

Man City injury, suspension list vs. Crystal Palace

Manchester City will be bidding to make it three Premier League victories in a row when they head to Selhurst Park on Monday evening to take on Crystal Palace.

The Citizens recorded a 4-1 win over Manchester United in the league last weekend and currently sit top of the table, six points clear of second-placed Liverpool.

Pep Guardiola's side also secured their spot in the quarter-finals of the Champions League on Wednesday courtesy of a goalless draw with Sporting Lisbon in the second leg of their last-16 tie.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Man City's injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with Palace, who are currently 11th in the table.

Ruben Dias

Status: Out Type of injury: Hamstring Possible return date: Unknown

Ruben Dias suffered a hamstring injury against Peterborough United in the FA Cup and is not expected to be back on the field for the Citizens until at least the start of April.

Nathan Ake

Status: Major doubt Type of injury: Knock Possible return date: March 14 (vs. Crystal Palace)

Nathan Ake has recently been absent due to a knock that he picked up in the FA Cup, but the versatile defender has a chance of returning to the squad for this match.

Zack Steffen

Status: Major doubt Type of injury: Back Possible return date: March 14 (vs. Palace)

Zack Steffen has recently been struggling with a back problem and could again miss out here, having been absent against Sporting in the Champions League during the week.

Cole Palmer

Status: Major doubt Type of injury: Foot Possible return date: March 14 (vs. Crystal Palace)

Cole Palmer is closing in on a return from a foot injury, but it would be a huge surprise if the attacker was included in the squad against Palace on Monday night.

Joao Cancelo

Status: Minor doubt Type of injury: Illness Possible return date: March 14 (vs. Crystal Palace)

Joao Cancelo missed out against Sporting in the Champions League due to illness, but the Portugal international should have recovered in time for this match.

Subject to a police charge, left-back Benjamin Mendy remains suspended by the Citizens.
