Ivory Coast coach Francois Zahoui has rejected the request of Roberto Mancini to allow Kolo and Yaya Toure to delay their departure to the Africa Cup of Nations.

Francois Zahoui has rejected the request of Roberto Mancini to allow Kolo and Yaya Toure to play in Sunday's FA Cup tie against Manchester United.

The Ivory Coast coach expects the brothers to report for a meeting in Paris on Saturday before the squad flies out to Abu Dhabi for a two-week training camp.

Mancini revealed in a press conference earlier today that he had requested that the pair delay their departure.

FIFA rules state that players can be called up two weeks before the competition, which starts on January 21.

"Clubs know the rules," Zahoui told BBC Africa. "I'm expecting [the Toures] for the FIFA deadline."

Manchester rivals United and City, currently first and second in the Premier League, meet at the Etihad Stadium in the third round of the domestic competition.
