Having cut his teeth in the Premier League with Everton, Joleon Lescott became one of a number of players to join Manchester City in a big-money deal following the Abu Dhabi investment.
The centre-back arrived in 2009 for a reported fee of £22m and, while his time at the Etihad got off to a slow start, the arrival of Roberto Mancini saw him become a regular fixture in the starting XI.
Lescott was part of the side which won the FA Cup in 2011 - Man City's first major trophy for 35 years - while also qualifying for the Champions League for the first time that season.
The following year brought even more success as Lescott made 31 appearances to help City win the top-flight title for the first time in 44 years, before adding another Premier League crown and League Cup title in 2014.
The England international was released at the end of his contract in 2014 having made 160 appearances for the club, including 107 in the Premier League.
