Ex-Manchester City player Sylvinho predicts victory against Barcelona

Manchester City will knock Barcelona out of the Champions League, according to former player Sylvinho.

Ex-footballer Sylvinho has predicted that Manchester City will overcome Barcelona in their Champions League last-16 tie.

The 40-year-old, who played for both clubs, admits that the La Liga side are the favourites but he thinks that City have it within them to knock out the four-time champions.

He told reporters: "City is improving every year in the Champions League, which is normal, and I think that they can beat Barcelona. I think that City can put in two great performances".

Sylvinho made 10 appearances for City in 2009-2010.
