Gary Lineker: English clubs at a "crisis point"

Former England international Gary Lineker has labelled the Premier League's inability to have any sides in the last eight of the Champions League a "crisis point".

Arsenal were knocked out by Monaco on away goals on Tuesday, while Wednesday night saw Manchester City suffer a 1-0 reverse to Barcelona.

Chelsea were eliminated by Paris Saint-Germain last week, while Liverpool failed to make it out of the group stages before Christmas.

Crisis point for @premierleague football. If no winter break at least play less games over Xmas and no FA Cup replays beyond 4th round.

The draw for the last eight of Europe's premier club competition is made in Switzerland on Friday morning.
