Saturday's La Liga predictions including Real Valladolid vs. Real Madrid

Mallorca vs. Betis (Saturday, 1.00pm)

Mallorca and Real Betis will both be aiming to bounce back from three straight defeats in all competitions when they continue their respective La Liga campaigns with a clash on Saturday afternoon.

Real Betis, who are 12th in the La Liga table, suffered a 3-1 home loss to Alaves last time out, while sixth-placed Mallorca will enter the match off the back of a 4-0 defeat at Villarreal.

We say: Mallorca 1-1 Real Betis

There has not actually been a La Liga draw between these two sides since August 2021, but Mallorca have shared the points on three occasions at home this term, while Real Betis have three away draws to their name, and we are struggling to separate them here.

Atletico vs. Villarreal (Saturday, 3.15pm)

Atletico Madrid will be bidding to get their La Liga title challenge back on track when they welcome Villarreal to Wanda Metropolitano on Saturday afternoon.

Diego Simeone's side are currently second in the La Liga table, two points behind the leaders Real Madrid, while Villarreal occupy fifth spot, six points behind fourth-placed Athletic Bilbao in the race for Champions League qualification.

We say: Atletico Madrid 2-1 Villarreal

This is set to be a fascinating match; Villarreal will be the fresher of the two sides and will enter the clash off the back of an excellent performance against Mallorca, but Atletico performed brilliantly with 10 men against Leverkusen, and we are expecting Simeone's side to navigate their way to all three points on Saturday.

Sevilla vs. Espanyol (Saturday, 5.30pm)

Espanyol will be bidding to make it back-to-back wins in La Liga and climb out of the relegation zone when they continue their campaign with a clash against Sevilla at Estadio Ramon on Saturday evening.

The visitors, who are 18th in the La Liga table, will enter the contest off the back of a 2-1 success over Real Valladolid, while 11th-placed Sevilla recorded an impressive 2-1 victory over Girona in their last match.

We say: Sevilla 2-1 Espanyol

This is a really tough match to call, as Sevilla will be missing some important players, and Espanyol have shown signs of improvement in recent weeks; it would not be a shock to see a draw, but we just have a feeling that Sevilla will be able to navigate their way to all three points.

Valladolid vs. Real Madrid (Saturday, 8.00pm)

Real Madrid will be aiming to make it four straight wins in all competitions when they continue their La Liga campaign away to basement side Real Valladolid on Saturday night.

Los Blancos are currently top of the La Liga table, boasting 46 points from their opening 20 matches of the campaign, and Carlo Ancelotti's side will be facing a Real Valladolid outfit that are currently bottom of the division on 15 points.

We say: Real Valladolid 0-2 Real Madrid

Vinicius' absence is a huge blow for Real Madrid, and Real Valladolid have recently been strong at home. That said, we are finding it incredibly difficult to predict anything other than an away success, with Ancelotti's side entering the match in strong form.
