Zimbabwe through to African Nations Championship semi-finals

Zimbabwe have reached the semi-finals of the African Nations Championship with a 2-1 victory over Mali in Cape Town.

Ian Gorowa's side surged ahead in their quarter-final tie as early as the 11th minute when Simba Sithole found the target.

It became 2-0 to Zimbabwe 11 minutes into the second half as Kudakwashe Mahachi scored.

Hamidou Sinayoko halved the deficit for Mali a minute from full time, but it was too little too late for Henryk Kasperczak's team.
