Gael Danic agrees Lyon switch

Lyon have agreed a deal to sign midfielder Gael Danic from Ligue 1 rivals Valenciennes.

The 31-year-old, who will move to the Stade de Gerland for a transfer fee in the region of £850,000, will put pen to paper on a two-year contract with Les Gones later this week.

A Lyon press release read: "Olympique Lyonnais announce the arrival of Valenciennes midfielder Gael Danic who will this week sign a contract for two years for a transfer fee of 800,000 euros, to which could be added a maximum of 200,000 euros in incentives."

Danic scored 15 goals during 101 league appearances for Valenciennes, who he joined from Troyes in 2008.
