Alexandre Lacazette has insisted that there is little chance of him leaving Lyon in the current transfer window.
The 23-year-old forward has been repeatedly linked with a move to Newcastle United this summer, but he is certain that the club will not be persuaded to sell him to any interested parties in the near future.
"Why do I want to stay? Because I am happy at Lyon," Lacazette told Canal+. "Lyon is a nice club, a nice city and a nice project.
"There have been propositions from everywhere, but after a lot of thinking I decided it was better to stay.
"We will see at the end of the season if I was right, but I think I have made the right decision."
Liverpool were also rumoured to be considering making an approach for Lacazette.
