Sunday's Ligue 1 predictions including Lyon vs. Brest

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Ligue 1 fixtures, including Lyon vs. Brest.

Le Havre are in relegation form heading into Sunday's Ligue 1 clash with Nantes at Stade Oceane.

One win in eight top-flight games has seen the struggling side slide towards the bottom three before gameweek 29's fixture, while the Canaries seek to claim a second win since Antoine Kombouare returned to the club.

We say: Le Havre 1-2 Nantes

While Le Havre have broadly thrived at Stade Oceane on their Ligue 1 return, blowing hot and cold in recent home matches means this one is harder to call. Nantes, on the other hand, have shown greater consistency in recent away matches, possibly giving them the edge on Sunday.

Even though a draw could be expected, we will stick our necks out and opt for a road victory given that the Dean Club are winless in their last eight matches against Nantes in all competitions (five losses).

Clermont vs. Montpellier (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Gameweek 29's Ligue 1 action pits Clermont against Montpellier HSC, with the hosts in desperate need for maximum points at the Stade Gabriel-Montpied on Sunday.

The league's bottom side are five points off Lorient in the relegation playoff spot and seven off safety heading into this weekend's fixture against a side that have won two on the trot.

We say: Clermont 0-1 Montpellier HSC

Despite being undefeated in two home games against Montpellier in Ligue 1, the away side should take advantage of Clermont's dearth of goals and nick a marginal victory over the league's bottom club.

Lyon vs. Brest (Sunday, 7.45pm)

In-form Lyon seek to end Brest's ongoing unbeaten run in Ligue 1 when they host the Pirates in Sunday's gameweek 29 clash at Groupama Stadium.

Les Gones have won three of their last four league games, and they face the second-placed side on a three-game streak without losing.

We say: Lyon 2-2 Brest

Despite failing to score in their last two Ligue 1 meetings with Brest, Lyon's seven-game undefeated run against this weekend's opponents should become eight in a potentially exciting game.

The goalless game at the Groupama last year was an anomaly, as eight of the last 10 matches between these sides have ended with both sides scoring. Thus, expect another high-scoring affair on Sunday.
