Scottish Championship roundup: Hearts stay top after 4-1 win

Sports Mole rounds up Saturday's action from the Scottish Championship as Hearts remain top of the table and Rangers also win.

Hearts pulled off a 4-1 win over Falkirk at Tynecastle to maintain their 100% start to the season and stay top of the Scottish Championship.

A Billy King brace combined with a Jordan McGhee strike and an Osman Sow penalty saw off the Bairns, who netted a late consolation through Botti Bia-bi.

Their Edinburgh neighbours Hibernian did not enjoy such good fortune, going down 2-1 away to Alloa Athletic thanks to goals from Liam Buchanan and Iain Flannigan.

Rangers are in second place in the table after defeating Queen of the South 4-2 at Ibrox, with Marius Zaliukas, David Templeton, Bilel Mohsni and Kenny Miller on target.

Raith Rovers are in third following their 3-1 win away to Cowdenbeath, and Dumbarton are off the bottom after defeating Livingston 1-0 with a late goal from John Kane.
