Jamie Carragher: Luis Suarez, Daniel Sturridge will have "major impact" at World Cup

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher tips Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge to have a "major impact" at the World Cup.

Legendary Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has tipped Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge to impress at the World Cup.

The two strikers will be on opposing sides when England meet Uruguay on June 19, but Carragher, who made 737 appearances for the Reds, believes that both frontmen will thrive in Brazil.

He told the club's official TV station: "I just think it's the fact that they're two top players.

"Luis is world class, one of the top five players in the world. And I think Daniel Sturridge, this season, has been the best attacking player England have got.

"So I'd expect them both to have a major impact at the World Cup."

Suarez scored 31 times for Liverpool last season, while his Anfield teammate netted 21.
