Tottenham Hotspur want to sign Wolverhampton Wanderers attacker Adama Traore on an initial loan deal, according to a report.

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly hopeful of signing Wolverhampton Wanderers attacker Adama Traore on an initial loan deal for the remainder of the 2021-22 campaign.

The 25-year-old has not contributed a single goal or assist in 21 appearances for Wolves during the current season, but he continues to be linked with a move away from Molineux, with Barcelona and Liverpool both said to be keeping an eye on developments.

Tottenham are allegedly currently showing the strongest interest in the Spain international, though, with Spurs boss Antonio Conte an admirer of the powerful attacker.

According to The Telegraph, the North London club want to sign Traore on loan for the rest of the season, but the deal will include an obligation to buy this summer.

The forward has entered the final 18 months of his contract with Wolves, having penned a five-year deal upon his arrival from Middlesbrough in August 2018.

A move for Traore could open the door for Steven Bergwijn to leave the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium before the end of the winter transfer window.
