Sterling 'in no hurry to sign new deal'

Liverpool could face a battle to hold on to winger Raheem Sterling following reports that he is in no rush to sign a new contract with the club.

The Reds are trying to convince the youngster to extend his existing £30,000-a-week deal, but he is unsure whether to commit, according to the Daily Mail.

Sterling, who has two years remaining on his current contract, has previously been linked with a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid.

The England international, 19, currently earns £1.5m a year plus performance bonuses at Anfield.
