Roma suggest loan deal for Dejan Lovren?

Roma have reportedly informed Liverpool that they initially want to sign defender Dejan Lovren on a loan deal.

While Liverpool opted against making any major additions over the summer, foreign clubs can still target members of Jurgen Klopp's squad - something which has seemingly happened with Lovren.

Roma are said to be keen on bringing in the Croatia international over the next two weeks, with it assumed that they would be prepared to sign the centre-back on a permanent basis.

However, according to Sky in Italy, the Serie A outfit have informed Liverpool that they want to agree terms over a loan agreement, without being obligated to sign the 30-year-old next summer.

The report adds that Roma wish to only confirm the full-time addition of Lovren should he make a certain number of appearances during the upcoming campaign.

Liverpool and Klopp are now likely to hold discussions with Lovren, given that his departure would leave the club with just three senior central defenders.
