Report: Liverpool to resist interest in Daniel Agger

Liverpool will reportedly withstand any interest in Danish central defender Daniel Agger this summer.

Reports in France have said that big-spending Monaco will make a move for the 28-year-old, who committed to the Reds last summer amid interest from Manchester City.

According to ESPN, Liverpool will resist any approaches as they are looking to bolster the central defensive area following the retirement of Jamie Carragher this year.

They have already agreed to sign Kolo Toure from the start of next month.
