Report: Liverpool poised for treble swoop

Liverpool are reportedly eyeing a treble swoop for Ajax duo Christian Eriksen and Toby Alderweireld and Chelsea left-back Ryan Bertrand.

The Reds have been long-term suitors of Eriksen and are hopeful of landing the 21-year-old as he has one year remaining on his contract.

Manager Brendan Rodgers hopes to sign the 21-year-old and his teammate at the Eredivisie side Alderweireld after missing out on Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who joined Borussia Dortmund, reports The Mirror.

Liverpool also want Bertrand as they aim to solidify their backline to challenge for a top-four spot in the Premier League next season following an inconsistent campaign from Jose Enrique.

The Reds have signed Simon Mignolet, Iago Aspas, Luis Alberto and Kolo Toure already this summer.
