Report: Liverpool close in on Valencia youngster Pedro Chirivella

Liverpool are reportedly closing in on a deal to sign Valencia midfielder Pedro Chirivella.

Reds boss Brendan Rodgers has been active in the transfer market this summer and is now poised to add the 17-year-old to his side's ranks for next season.

The two clubs are £2m apart in terms of agreeing a fee for Chirivella as the La Liga side want up to £3.5m, but if no deal can be reached, then a tribunal will be used to agree a price, reports The People.

Chirivella reportedly turned down a move to Barcelona in 2011.
