Liverpool linked with £6.5m Winston Reid swoop

Liverpool have been linked with a move for West Ham United defender Winston Reid before the transfer deadline.

Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is preparing to table a £6.5m offer for the New Zealander, according to The Mirror.

The Hammers may be tempted to cash in on Reid, who could potentially leave on a free transfer in the summer when his contract expires.

West Ham are reportedly planning to swoop for Spartak Moscow's Croatian defender Vedran Corluka as a replacement for Reid.
