Paris Saint-Germain 'to rival Liverpool for Karim Benzema'

Paris Saint-Germain are ready to go head-to-head with Liverpool in the race to sign Real Madrid's Karim Benzema, according to reports.

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly ready to compete with Liverpool for the signature of Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema.

Despite being a key part of the Madrid squad in recent seasons, Fichajes.net claims that the European champions may be willing to let go of the French international as part of a rumoured overhaul.

It is thought that the Ligue 1 champions are looking at Benzema as they prepare to lose striker Edinson Cavani, and are willing to compete with the Merseyside club to capture the former Lyon target man.

Liverpool are still believed to be in the market for a forward, despite signing Mario Balotelli from AC Milan this summer.

Benzema was part of the Real team, which beat Deportivo La Coruna 8-2 on Saturday.
